Sushi

Hi Auntie Penny,
I was able to catch a big fish today and I could have had fresh sushi with you if you were here. (Just kidding - although Dad cleaned the fish, I wont be eating any of it.) We had a fun morning of fishing. We can take you with us one morning while you are here. You can sit and relax by the lake with a book while Emily and I fish. Emily baits all of the hooks with the worms so you dont have to get your hands yucky.

Three months of no activity....

Tuesday, March 11, 3 months until you come to visit and I break my arm....

Well, luckily when you get here to visit me my 12 weeks of no activity will be over. The Dr said I could go back to normal activities after June 12th. My arm should be as good as new so that we can do all the things we have planned....

Luckily for you it will be summer when you come to visit me because I practiced making something to give (or throw at) you......Too bad it will melt before then. (Madison will tell you that I was pretty good with my aim too)

Hi Everyone:

It is true - today is five months until Pen gets back and I sure hope she has been practicing her Scrabble game ...
You may know her as the party girl, but although I have seen jello shots at my front gate, I assure you all I know her as "Scrabble-Demon."
I have been practicing my skills on my Nintendo-DS (yep, even gramma has one, LOL) and I am poised to beat the "*%$#@" out of our little Pen when she gets here.
My plan is to attack before she has a chance to relax with all of you and go to the movies with her nieces, while she still has jet-lag. I need the advantage.

Let her know if you have any devious plans for her return!!

Oh yes Pen, we have also played LIFE with the girls in your abscence and feel pretty sure we can take you :)

Only 5 more months

In honor of the 5 month countdown Emily, Gramma Linda and I had "lunch" at Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt. We figured we had to test it to make sure it still met Penelope's standards (it does). We cant wait to have you sitting at the table with us.

Madison reminded me that she had left this off the list of things to do while Penelope was here so please consider it added.

Counting Days

It is going to be a long five months waiting for Auntie Penny. The list has started, the girls have been discussing their plans with their favorite Aunt. Every few hours they revise their list and remind me of the contents (like I could forget)

• Sushi at Todai
• movie theater with popcorn and slushies
• shopping trip at Target for toys before the movies
• the beach
• movies again (Madison promises not to throw up on you and Emily wont wee on your lap)
• Disneyland
• Candyland
• shopping for more toys
• more sushi
• movies again
• shopping for Nintendo games

I guess it will take five months for me to earn enough spending money to finance this list, too bad you are paid in Rands. The exchange rate wont support this one. Dont be scared....

Coming to America ...

Well, the tickets are booked and we can't wait. Our Penelope is coming to spend time with us and you can bet we are going to make the most of our time with her ...
She is leaving Johannesburg on June 11th in the evening and you will have to keep visiting to see how long we will have her here with us.
Emily and Madison are whooping and hollering with joy - already making plans for movies and sushi ...
Linda and Rodger have already warned the favorite sushi restaurant that we are planning on having many reservations for "some of everything" while Pen is here and you can bet there will be a get-together with friends, food and liberal libations!
